Trust Launches Learning Programme

Dudley Canal Trust has launched a new learning programme which will give Dudley residents the opportunity to learn new skills while meeting local artists.

The programme’s workshop sessions have been designed to be beginner friendly in an effort to make sure everyone has the chance to learn new skills.

Mary Coleman, from the Lace Guild in Stourbridge, will run the first of the 2018 workshops on Tuesday 16th January.

The session, which runs from 1pm until 4pm, will guide students through the art of Bobbin Lace Making – a form of weaving worked on a pillow.

The session will take place at Dudley Canal Trust’s Portal Visitor Centre, and will cost £50 per person.

To find out more information, or to book, call Dudley Canal Trust on 0121 557 6265, or visit www.dudleycanaltrust.org.uk/trip/mary-coleman-beginners-bobbin-lacemaking.
