The large amount of fog that formed across the Dudley borough overnight is expected to linger until the late morning, prompting the Met Office to issue a yellow weather warning.
The Met Office is predicting that the lingering fog may mean delays to bus and train services, while flights from Birmingham Airport may also be affected.
As the fog clears, skies will gradually turn cloudier, bringing a risk of light rain for some.
The day’s maximum temperature will be 8°.
It will be a cloudy but mild evening, and some parts of the borough will again see patches of light rain.
Overnight temperatures will stay above freezing for the first time since the wintry weather of last week. 3° is expected to be the overnight low.
