Wednesday’s Transport and Travel Updates

Roadworks are causing problems for people travelling in the Brierley Hill area today. The signalling fault that was causing problems for train passengers has been fixed.

Public Transport

Network West Midlands is warning that a number of bus services are likely to be affected by the emergency sewer repair works being carried out on Mill Street, Brierley Hill (A4100).

As a result, they are advising that passengers travelling on the 14, 222, 226, 228, 246, 250/251, 255/255A, and 296 services allow extra time for their journeys.

More information about today’s disruption can be found on the Network West Midlands website.

The disruption on the train network that was expected to continue until the end of the day has eased, and trains are now running as normal.

Roads and Roadworks

Temporary three-way traffic lights remain in place on the junctions of Birds Meadow and Bradley Street with High Street in Pensnett. The roadworks are a part of a £6.3 million road redevelopment scheme.

Significant disruption on Mill Street, Brierley Hill (A4100) is likely to be on-going today after yesterday’s emergency repair works on a broken sewer meant the introduction of temporary traffic lights.
