Zoo’s Reindeer Enjoy Dudley Snow

Three new members of Dudley Zoo’s reindeer herd got to enjoy their first experience of snow as yesterday’s poor weather forced the zoo to close to the public.

Basil, Ivy, and Doreen became part of the zoo’s herd this year.

Despite the weather, the zoo’s staff worked through the day caring for the 1,600 animals on site and used sledges to help move food around.

Dudley Zoo may remain closed over the weekend due to the weather conditions, but announcements will be made via social media, which can be followed at www.facebook.com/dudleyzoo or www.twitter.com/dudleyzoo.
